BASS CONCERT HALL

Texas Performing Arts’ flagship venue is a world class, state of the art, full service theatrical facility. Bass consists of a newly renovated 2,900-seat auditorium with a 32’ high proscenium, 52’ wide x 48’ deep stage, tongue and groove floor, and ample wing space. The fully hydraulic pit lift can accommodate even the largest musical assemblies. Backstage accommodations include 12 dressing rooms each with private shower and bathroom facilities, one large wardrobe room with laundry facilities, and a green room with small kitchen. Our beautifully remodeled atrium lobby is filled with natural light and plenty of space for a variety of functions.

HOGG MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM

A University of Texas landmark located on the west side of campus near the Texas Union, Hogg seats 1228 on two levels in historic style. The Hogg proscenium stage is 35’ wide x 28’ deep, with a 21’ opening. Backstage amenities include 8 backstage dressing rooms with shared bathroom facilities, and large green room (but no hot water!).

MCCULLOUGH THEATRE

Located in the PAC building, the McCullough consists of a 400-seat auditorium, 18’ high proscenium, 30’ wide x 36’ deep stage, masonite floor, and an orchestra pit with center lift. The McCullough backstage area contains 3 dressing rooms, shared shower and bathroom facilities, and a wardrobe room with laundry facilities.

B. IDEN PAYNE THEATRE (Limited availability)

Located in the Winship building the Payne auditorium seats 500. The proscenium opening is 19’ high and 31’ across. With 36’ of stage depth, masonite floor, 3-section hydraulic pit lift, and ample wing space the Payne is ideal for large theatrical or dance productions. Backstage features include 2 large dressing rooms with shared shower and bathroom facilities, and a wardrobe room with laundry facilities.

OSCAR BROCKETT THEATRE (Limited availability)

Located in the Winship building, the Brockett is a 60’ x 60’ black box space with a 3/4 thrust performance area that seats 244. The space features a 24’ high grid, and 2 shared backstage dressing room spaces with bathroom facilities.

BATES RECITAL HALL (Limited availability)

Located in the School of Music, directly adjacent to the PAC Building, Bates is home of the world famous Visser-Rowland tracker organ. Bates seats 700 and is equipped with a 48’ wide x 28’ deep raised hardwood platform stage, acoustic wall panels, and motorized adjustable acoustic stage canopy. There is limited backstage space with only 1 small dressing room with bathroom facilities.
