STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

If you have an interest in the performing arts and enjoy meeting and working with a great group of people, consider joining our Texas Performing Arts team as a Volunteer Student Usher!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
One of our primary goals at Texas Performing Arts is to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience at our events. Whether taking tickets, handing out programs, greeting incoming patrons or assisting guests in finding their seats, our volunteers are the public face of Texas Performing Arts.
For current students, the only requirements to being active in this program are that you volunteer for a minimum of three events per semester, and that you show up on time and with a smile. Contact us at frontofhouse@texasperformingarts.org and let us know you are interested in joining us as a student usher. We will add you to our student listserv, and near the end of each month, we will send out a list of available shifts for the following month.
If you are not a current UT student, please see our main VOLUNTEER page for more information and an application to join our regular usher program.
VOLUNTEER BENEFITS
*Hands-on experience working at a world-class arts organization
*Opportunity to see performances when working a shift, although this perk is never guaranteed
*Chance to meet other undergraduate and graduate students as well as Austin residents that love and support the arts.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER!
We are not currently accepting additional student ushers for the Spring 2010 semester. We will hold a New Student Usher Info Meeting and Training Session at some point during the first two weeks of school in the Fall for those interested in joining us next semester. Check back here for the most current information regarding student ushering, including the date for the Fall Training Session.
Please contact us at frontofhouse@texasperformingarts.org or by phone at 512.471.0611 if you have any additional questions, and be sure to let us know that you are a current student.
