STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

If you have an interest in the performing arts and would enjoy working with a great and fun-loving group of people, consider joining our Texas Performing Arts team as a Volunteer Student Usher!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
One of our primary goals at Texas Performing Arts is to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience at our events. Whether taking tickets, handing out programs, greeting incoming patrons or assisting guests in finding their seats, our volunteers are the public face of Texas Performing Arts.
For current students, the only requirements to being active in this program are that you have been through a training session (offered at the beginning of each long semester), you volunteer for a minimum of three events per semester, and that you show up on time and with a smile. Contact us at frontofhouse@texasperformingarts.org to let us know if you are interested in joining us as a student usher.
If you are not a current UT student, please see our main VOLUNTEER page for more information and an application to join our regular usher program.
VOLUNTEER BENEFITS
*Hands-on experience working at a world-class arts organization
*Opportunity to see performances when working a shift, although this perk is never guaranteed
*Chance to meet other undergraduate and graduate students as well as Austin residents that love and support the arts.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER!
We would love for you to join us as a student usher for the Fall of 2010. If you are interested in joining or learning more about this program, mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 7th. We will hold the Fall 2010 Student Usher Info Meeting and Training Session in the lobby of Bass Concert Hall (PAC) beginning at 5:00pm on Sept 7th. The session should last about an hour and a half.
Please contact us at frontofhouse@texasperformingarts.org or by phone at 512.471.8207 if you have any additional questions.
