Texas Performing Arts continues a history of presenting the world’s greatest operatic voices. Considered one of the most exciting and in-demand baritones today, Nathan Gunn performs with accompanist and wife Julie Gunn in the acoustic richness of Bates Recital Hall.

Mr. Gunn has appeared in internationally renowned opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera and Paris Opera. His resume includes the title roles in Billy Budd, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Hamlet, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, the Count in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Ottone in L’incoronazione di Poppea.

The couple’s visit includes a master class for students in voice and collaborative piano.

“Nathan Gunn is a singer with unmistakable star power…The charm of Gunn’s singing lies in its innocent mastery; he seems to surrender his vocal ego to the service of the material.” OPERA NEWS
