Nathan Gunn, scheduled to perform at Bates Recital Hall this Wednesday, March 9, has had to cancel his performance due to illness. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Patrons who purchased tickets using a credit card, either online or by phone, will be automatically refunded beginning Tuesday, March 8. If the refund does not appear on the credit card statement by Friday, March 11, please call Texas Box Office at 512. 477.6060. Texas Box Office requests that all tickets be shredded or thrown away.

Patrons who purchased tickets in person will also be automatically refunded beginning Tuesday, March 8. For any questions or concerns, please call the Texas Performing Arts ticket office at 512.471.1444.

We look forward to rescheduling Mr. Gunn in a future season.

Texas Performing Arts continues a history of presenting the world’s greatest operatic voices. Considered one of the most exciting and in-demand baritones today, Nathan Gunn performs with accompanist and wife Julie Gunn in the acoustic richness of Bates Recital Hall.

Mr. Gunn has appeared in internationally renowned opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera and Paris Opera. His resume includes the title roles in Billy Budd, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Hamlet, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, the Count in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Ottone in L’incoronazione di Poppea.

The couple’s visit includes a master class for students in voice and collaborative piano.
