American singer-songwriter Conor Oberst is best known for his work in the hugely successful band Bright Eyes, founded by Oberst as a solo project in 1995. He also shared the stage with Jim James of My Morning Jacket, M. Ward, and fellow Bright Eyes member Mike Mogis in the band Monsters of Folk. He has also played in several other bands including Desaparecidos, Norman Bailer (The Faint), Commander Venus, Park Ave., and Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band.
