Esperanza Spalding has quickly become a darling of the jazz scene, spreading her unique blend of bass and vocals to audiences across the U.S. A fixture in Portland, Oregon jazz clubs as a teenager, the now 23 year-old prodigy-turned-pro has experienced an explosive rise in popularity due to her simple and mesmerizing performance style.
